Supporting parents of newborns and young children
This winter, the Boloh helpline is supporting parents of newborns and young children in managing coughs, colds and chest infections. Barnardo’s has partnered with the RCPCH to provide a support, advice, and signposting service to all worried parents, with a particular focus on Black, Asian and minority communities. Patients can call the helpline on 0800 151 2605 and can receive support in a number of languages.
As well advice and information on how to look after a child with respiratory infections, advisors can also help with:
- Any issue you have experiencing as a result of the pandemic, for example; losing a loved one, ill-health, bullying, racism, feeling worried about your future, down or isolated
- Practical support with meeting the needs of your child e.g. food, devices, clothing
- Support you with your mental health and welling by providing you with therapeutic support
For more information about these services and how to get in touch, visit the Boloh page on the Barnardo’s website by clicking here
