Spinney Patient’s Association

The Spinney Patient’s Association was set up in 1995 to form a link between the patients and the practitioners of the surgery. The association is a proactive group of individuals who are there to represent the views of over 11,000 patients.

The views of the association are frequently sought when key decisions are required to be made and they give the practice feedback on patient issues or concerns as well as providing information and educational events for the patients.

We have had many successful events such as our education evenings and we host an annual Carers Tea event as part of Carers Week in conjunction with other surgeries in St Ives where everyone identified as a carer is welcome to attend. You can find more information about the work carers do for patients as well as more information on the Carer’s Tea on our dedicated Carers page, which can be accessed here.

You can also like the Facebook page for the Spinney Patient’s Association for more updates about the surgery and the work done by the surgery and the association.

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG)

We are continually looking for ways to better the services and care we provide to our patients. Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) is for people who want to put forward their ideas and opinions as well as complete surveys from the practice so we can learn more about what our patients want for their care.

We will contact the members of this group via email and ask some brief questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received.

The group is for patients who want to be informally involved in the practice but do not need to regularly commit to meetings and can dip in and out as they need to. We’d like for our patient group to be from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a true representation of our patients so we welcome all ages and backgrounds to join.

If you would like to be part of our PPG, please fill in your details below and a member of our team will be in touch.
