COVID-19 Surgery Update (December 13th, 2021)
Following the Prime Minister’s coronavirus update on Sunday 12th of December, please see the below information from the surgery:
Across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough the NHS and its partners are working extremely hard to roll out the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme to our communities.
From Monday 13th December, all adults are eligible to have their booster vaccination and will be able to book via the National Booking System from Wednesday 15th December.
Patients can book a booster for 3 months from the date of second vaccine, and you can access the National Booking System to book the appointment from 2 months. You can book by visiting the NHS website or by calling 119
New appointments are being added every day across vaccination services so that there are plenty of options for people on the National Booking System. Some local vaccination services may also contact patients directly.
Please be aware the surgery will be administering COVID-19 boosters for our eligible patients however this will now be in the New Year. More information will come via the practice website and Facebook page.
Additional Information
If, when booking your COVID-19 booster, it says you’re not eligible, it may because you are attempting to book it too early.
Please also be aware that if you have had any of your COVID-19 vaccinations abroad, you will need to register your vaccination with the NHS. For more information, visit the NHS website by clicking here.
A third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (not the booster) is being offered to patients who were severely immunosuppressed at the time of their first or second dose. If you are eligible to have a third dose of the vaccine, you will have received a letter from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group explaining how to receive your third jab.
Visiting the Surgery
We ask that any patients visiting the surgery please take a lateral flow test beforehand and please ensure they sanitise their hands when entering and exiting the building. Patients should also wear a face mask and social distance where possible.
