Clinics & Services

All treatment room procedures and specialised service clinics are by appointment. To find out how to book in for these types of appointments, please click here.

The practice offers three types of service availability:

  • Nurse triage which the surgery uses to assess the appropriate clinician for patients who have requested a same day appointment with a doctor
  • Treatment room sessions which cover minor surgery, cuts, burns, swabs, sore throats, ears, eyes, wound dressings, stitch removal and injections
  • Specialised services clinics which cover conditions such as asthma, diabetes, coronary heart disease, women’s health (cervical smear checks, contraceptive checks etc.), child immunisation and travel advice clinics

Throughout the week, the team also provide other services including blood pressure checks, new patient checks, family planning, general health checks as well as the  promotion of good health. Our healthcare assistants also offer a blood taking (phlebotomy) service, as well as ECGs, blood pressure, height, weight and urinalysis.

NHS Screening Information for transgender and non-binary patients: English

Maternity Care Midwives based at St Ives, Ramsey Road run clinics at the surgery on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. They can be contacted on 01480 357145
District/Community Nurses District (community) nursing teams assess, plan and provide nursing clinical care to people who are housebound due to ill health. They can be contacted on 03307 260077
Health Visitors Health Visitors work with families with a child aged 0 to five to identify health needs as early as possible and improve health and wellbeing. They can be reached on 0300 029 5050 (option 2)
Mental Health Reviews Patients with mental health problems are encouraged to have a yearly physical check-up with one of our healthcare assistants. Patients will receive a letter inviting them to attend.
Physiotherapy You can self-refer from physiotherapy services provided by Dynamic Health by calling 0300 555 0123 or by completing a self-referral form.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided fall outside the scope of the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Passport signing
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

Our reception staff will be happy to advise you about appointment availability. Please also leave sufficient time for your request to be completed as our first obligation is for NHS services. Our fees for these services can vary and the list is not exhaustive so please ask our reception team for information about the fees we charge.
