Acorn Cancer Support Group
The Acorn Cancer Support Group provides a support service for local cancer patients and their carers with approximately 1000 people (clients and a support team) attending monthly meetings in a year.
If you, or someone you care for, is affected by cancer or a life threatening illness, Acorn Cancer Support Group offers a safe place to unwind and relax, and the chance to meet others who understand.
The support group offers a range of activities to take part in such as:
- Free aromatherapy, relaxation, reflexology and seated exercise sessions
- Free refreshments and a light lunch
- Free social outings including lunch
- and the opportunity make new friends

Huntingdon Community Cancer Network
The HCCN aims to help people who are recovering from or living with cancer in the Huntingdonshire area to take back their lives and to play an active part in managing their health. The team is based at the Woodlands Cancer unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and are able to see patients at home, at work, in the hospital or even out and about in the Huntingdon area.
The service can be accessed by anyone over the age of 18 affected by any cancer, either directly or indirectly. Today, the service works across 23 GP surgeries including the Spinney. Their website provides a host of information including how to manage cancer positively as well as information about lifestyle changes or activities that may be beneficial.
