Patients are able to see a doctor face-to-face if felt necessary by the doctor. You will need to have a telephone triage appointment with the doctor who will listen to your symptoms and assess your needs before inviting you to the surgery if they feel it is appropriate. To book a telephone triage appointment, please call our reception team.
Our reception team do not decide who gets to see a clinician face-to-face and this decision is made entirely by the doctor when they assess you over the phone.
To speak to a doctor, please call our reception team to request an appointment where you will be triaged. In order to speak to a clinician in the morning, please call when we open at 8am. If you would like an appointment in the afternoon, please call once we reopen after lunch at 2pm as this is when our afternoon slots are available for reception to book. As we are very busy at present, you may find that morning appointments go quickly and you may be asked to call back after lunch at 2pm.
Due to the volume of requests we receive, our reception team are unable to let you know a specific time the clinician will be in touch but will give you a window in which they will call.
If you have an area which is affecting you i.e. a rash, a blemish, injury, you may be asked to send photos. Our reception team will send a link to you to upload these photos by a provider called AccuRx. Once sent, these photos are uploaded straight to your patient record and are viewed only by a clinical team member. Often clinicians are able to give advice after seeing your photos however if they feel they need to see you face-to-face, you will be invited to the surgery by the clinician.
If you would like to see a copy of your results, you can request them on our website by clicking here. Once you have received your results, if you would like to discuss them with a clinician or would like them interpreting, please call our reception team to book in for a telephone appointment.
If you believe you are due a medication review, please order your medication as normal either online or by calling the surgery and when a GP or pharmacist authorises your medication, they will check if you’re due a review. If you are, you will be notified you need a medication review appointment after which you can either contact the surgery to make this appointment or book one using our online services.
